THE WORD FOR VICTORIOUS LIVING
Sound Words is a Christian education ministry designed to teach the Word of God in Bible classes, conferences, seminars, retreats, workshops and other ministries to faithful men so they teach others so that God may be glorified. The organization also ministers to the spiritual needs of any individual desiring to participate, so that they will come to know Jesus and be equipped with the Word of God for daily living out His truth in a practical way
STATEMENT OF FAITH
BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be inerrant, inspired word of God, written by holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the absolute authority for faith and Holy Living.
GOD
We believe there is one, and only one living and true God, the creator and supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. He is expressively glorious in holiness, and worthy of all honor, confident and love. We believe in the triune God, i.e., the tri-personal existence of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three Persons are one God. Equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the work of redemption.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Ghost, born of a virgin, in a miraculous manner and that He was God manifested in the flesh, being both man and God. His death on the cross was substitutionary atonement for sin and He literally, bodily resurrected from the dead. He is currently interceding in heaven and will return for those who believe. He is to be worshipped and glorified as Lord.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son and is of the same nature. He is active in creation, convicts of sin, of righteousness and judgment. He is the agent of the New Birth and indwells all believers at regeneration. He baptizes, seals, fills, leads, intercedes, witnesses, sanctifies, comforts and empowers the believer daily. He is the Teacher of the Word of God.
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God totally exclusive of works. Salvation is obtained by personal faith in the Lord Jesus. It involves repentance and is received by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior by faith through grace. All those who receive Jesus are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, become the children of God and will live a changed life. We believe salvation is secure, permanent and eternal. |
